MARIX THERAPY TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Marix Therapy requires A FULL 24 HOURS’ NOTICE if you are unable to attend your treatment. Please note: we do not offer arrangements of re-scheduling the sessions to avoid the payment.

  • For the client’s health and safety we prefer not to take bookings through friends and family . Marix Therapy provides a therapeutic massage and we need to know about the client’s body conditions before the first treatment. Therapeutic massage is aiming to provide relief for those with deep muscle tension, soft tissue injuries and stress related conditions.
  • Due to our insurance policy children and babies are not permitted on the premises.
  • The minimum age requirement for a massage at Marix Therapy is 18.

CONFIDENTIALITY: 

  • Due to the Data Protection policy all information about clients is strictly confidential.

DURING THE TREATMENT

  • You will be properly covered at all times with a towel or blanket to keep you warm and comfortable.  We will not use any towel that is smaller than a bath towel.

RIGHT TO REFUSE OR TERMINATE SERVICE

We reserve the right to refuse or terminate services at any time.  You may be liable for payment of the terminated session.  In the case of a pre paid session or a gift certificate, it may be considered used if any of the following apply.

Reasons may include (but are not limited to):

  • Medical conditions or illnesses that can affect therapist’s health eg. Cold, cough, flu etc. Please check -CONTRAINDICATIONS
  • Medical conditions/problems.  Pregnancy Massage : 

    According to our policy and insurance we are not available to provide any treatment in the 1st trimester and client need to wait 6 weeks (if natural delivery) and 6 months (if after c-section) to receive any massage treatments.

    Regarding of what client is used to, we are highly trained and not willing to take risks with a pregnant /post pregnant client. Some therapists are willing to give massage but only people not sufficiently trained in pregnancy therapies would take that risk.

    Wait 6 months after c-section, 6 weeks after normal delivery  (after doctors check up). Wait till your 1st trimester is over before getting a massage. This is because your 1st trimester is most risky time to lose your baby. If you are one who is at high-risk, and has had miscarriages you should definitely wait!

  • Being under the influence of pain killers (otc/prescription), alcohol, or other drugs or intoxicants (massage may not be safe if you cannot gauge pain)
  • Poor  hygiene   – Please be relatively clean (bathed within the past 24 hours)
  • Comments or actions of a sexual nature- even if you are “just joking”
  • Being rude, disrespectful or demanding.
  • If  we are not the right therapist for you and you should see GP or physiotherapist etc
  • Failure to pay for previous treatments
  • Booking and cancelling/holding appointments on numerous occasions. Blocking therapist’s schedule. The booking system automatically blocks users who frequently book and cancel appointments as this causes other clients and therapists to loose slots.

BOOKING

  • 24/7 ONLINE BOOKING.

  •  If you would like to make a booking the easiest way is through the online booking system or send a request through email. this is due to us being busy in treatments most of the time.

  • CHOOSING THERAPIST: Please understand requests will try to be honoured at all times, but are not a guarantee.
  • Please follow the link in your confirmation email to book / cancel / modify your sessions.

    That way our therapists will get notifications as soon as possible about your session.

  • If you suffer from any special medical condition please let us know at the time of booking. Please check -CONTRAINDICATIONS

  • Bookings are subject to availability and we recommend booking early to avoid disappointment.

APPOINTMENT CONFIRMATION AND REMINDERS

  • Appointment confirmations and reminders are set up automatically and are purely complimentary.
  • Booking system send reminders but the client is solely responsible for keeping track of their appointments. Please don’t rely on automatic reminders as if the network will be down it might stops the message coming through.

OFFERS

New client – Cannot be used in conjunction with any other offers

PROGRAMMES- This offer is for existing clients only. If you never visited us before then please book for the New Client Offer or Pay As You Go session. This offer is for someone who is visiting us at least once a month, month after month. Please do not book if you haven’t been in the past 30 days. Offer cannot be used with any other offers and split between clients. Same client needs to come month after month to receive the discount. Cannot be “given” to a different person to cover your absence. Marix Therapy do not extend the offer due to unable to attend your treatment for whatever reason eg, there was no available sessions, we didn’t have the sessions you wanted, illness, accidents or bad weather etc. Missing a month means you will be back on the Pay As You Go price. The offer is available on the “first come first service”; it’s available to book with any therapist and we suggest to book in advance to avoid disappointment.

 Marix Therapy is closed: Saturdays, Sundays, Bank Holidays, Season Holidays- Easter, X-mas time. However we still have many available sessions to book for the offer in a month.

LATE ARRIVALS

Appointment times have been arranged specifically for you.

  • Please note- therapists at Marix Therapy work by appointment only and wait up to 15min
  • If you arrive late your massage (not the 15min consultation/preparation time: 7min before and 7min after treatment) will be shortened in order to accommodate others whose appointments follow yours.
  • Regardless of the length of the treatment actually given, you will be responsible for payment for the “full” session.
  • (Out of respect and consideration to your therapist and other customers, please plan accordingly and be on time)

CANCELLATION

  • If you would like to make a cancellation the easiest way is through the online booking system or send a request through email, this is due to us being busy in treatments most of the time.

  • Marix Therapy requires AT LEAST A FULL 24 HOURS’ NOTICE if you are unable to attend your treatment for whatever reason eg, illness, accidents or bad weather etc.Any cancellation or non-attendance with less than 24 hours’ notice is subject to the FULL COST* of the treatment.

Payment of treatment is required within 7 days from your missed/cancelled treatment.

  • Contraindications-If you do not let us know of any special medical conditions at the time of booking we cannot guarantee that we will be able to fully accommodate you on your visit. Cancellation of treatments is subject to the FULL COST *of the treatment

  • Prepaid treatments that are cancelled  with less than the required 24 hours notice or non-attended is subject to the FULL COST *of the treatment

  • We cannot accept responsibility for clients’ changes to work commitments, illness or personal circumstances and non-show or cancellation of treatments is subject to the FULL COST *of the treatment
  • If you cannot make your session and if you are on the New Client Offer or Programme Offer and you send someone else for your session (to cover your absence) who is existing client but not new or regular then their session will be changed to Pay As You Go Massage.

(If you do none of the above we will not be able to treat you at Marix Therapy)

LAST MINUTE BOOKING / CANCELLATIONS:

  • Last minute booking (less than 24h before appointment) -cancellation or non-attendance is subject to the FULL COST *of the treatment.

TREATMENTS COUNTED AS ATTENDED & CHARGED AUTOMATICALLY

  • If you do not contact Marix Therapy BY EMAIL (please don’t text) at all & fail to turn up, you will be charged the FULL COST of the treatment.
  • Payment of treatment is required within 7 days from your missed/cancelled treatment.
  • (If you do none of the above we will not be able to treat you at Marix Therapy)

TREATMENT CANCELLATION BY MARIX THERAPY
This very rarely happens! But if we do need to cancel a treatment on the last minute(less than 24h before appointment) we will inform you as soon as possible and we will give you a discount for your rebooked treatment. Marix Therapy has the right to change your therapists without notice if needed to cover any cancellations.

DAMAGE AND ACCIDENT

  • Any damage to the studio or facilities or other accident or injury must be reported immediately. “Immediately” means in this context before you leave the studio at the end of your spa session. Failure to do so will by necessity invalidate any later claim. The company can accept no liability for accident, injury or misadventure caused by your own actions.

HAIR AND DRESS

  • We require all guests in the studio to dress in a manner appropriate to the activity being engaged in. Keep your underwear on !
  • Long hair should be tied back.

FOOD AND DRINK

  • Water is freely available in the studio.
  • You may not consume any food or drink in the studio facility other than that provided by us.

COMPLAINTS/COMMENTS

  • We take the running of the business very seriously and we want to hear from you if you have any comments, good or bad, or recommendations for improvements. We can only improve if we listen to what our guests actually want!
